Bulk roster lookup

What this data includes, and what it does not. Source: the CMS National Provider Directory bulk release (public domain, CC0), refreshed when CMS publishes a new export.

Includes: practitioner identity and NPI, NUCC specialties, organization and group affiliations, practice locations, phone numbers, and interoperability endpoints. Historical and inactive affiliations are filtered out.
Does not include payer plan or network participation, accepting-new-patients status, or office hours. Verifying plan participation still requires the payer's own directory or roster.
Roughly 7 in 10 individual practitioners have no organization affiliation recorded in the CMS directory yet. An empty affiliations panel reflects the federal data, not an error.

Why ProviderCensus

Verifying where a provider practices and which group they bill under usually means combing payer directories one at a time. The CMS National Provider Directory put a single federal dataset behind that question, but it ships as a 27-million-record bulk file with no query interface. ProviderCensus turns the monthly release into an instant search.
